Basketball Recap: Jalen Gribbins' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Campbellsville over Evangel Christian

Campbellsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They took a 62-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Evangel Christian Eagles. Campbellsville was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Evangel Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2021.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jalen Gribbins, who posted 12 points. Lanigan Price was another key player, putting up nine points and five rebounds.

Even though they lost, Campbellsville was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Campbellsville's loss dropped their record down to 2-21. As for Evangel Christian, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-18.
