Softball Game Preview: Latexo Tigers vs. Grapeland Sandies

The Latexo Tigers are taking a road trip to take on the Grapeland Sandies at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Latexo will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

Latexo had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the nine-run drubbing they dealt Oakwood on Monday. The Tigers put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 10-1 win. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by nine runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Grapeland unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Slocum.

Latexo pushed their record up to 8-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Grapeland, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-12.

Everything went Latexo's way against Grapeland in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, as Latexo made off with an 11-0 victory. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Sandies turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
