Lakeland waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Central Noble Cougars as they made off with a 13-3 win. Considering the Lakers have won seven matchups by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Garrett Pieri and Levi Cook made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Pieri tossed five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. Meanwhile, Cook tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. At the plate, Pieri went 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and one double, while Cook went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and four runs. What's more, Cook posted two stolen bases, the most he's had since back in April.

Lakeland pushed their record up to 12-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Central Noble, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
