Recap: Macon County Bulldogs vs. Greenville Patriots
The Macon County Bulldogs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 74-39 win over Greenville. Considering Macon County has won four contests by more than 23 points this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Macon County found their leader in underclassman Aliyah Lake, who scored 30 points along with seven rebounds. Those seven rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. Morgan Cochran was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 15 rebounds.
Macon County now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Greenville, they bumped their record down to 1-7 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.
Macon County won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Dooly County at 6:00 p.m. on December 19th. Dooly County is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Greenville will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Marion County at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024.
