Wantagh and South Side are an even 3-3 against one another since October of 2018, but not for long. The Warriors will host the Cyclones at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Wantagh's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last three contests.

Wantagh blew Clarke out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Saturday Clarke got their revenge. The Warriors fell just short of the Rams by a score of 36-34. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Warriors came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 67th, while the Rams are ranked 247th).

Wantagh's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Joe Nicholson, who gained 192 total yards and three touchdowns, and Luke Martini, who gained 217 total yards and a touchdown. Martini's longest rush was for an incredible 80 yards.

Wantagh didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Luke Gonsowski and Matthew Giacobello.

Meanwhile, South Side was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 8-2 to Bethpage. The Cyclones have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

South Side's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-2. As for Wantagh, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.
