Softball Recap: John Milledge Academy Trojans vs. Brookwood Warriors
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact John Milledge Academy can now relate to. They came up short against the Brookwood Warriors on Thursday, falling 18-12. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2019.
Emma Hudgins made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylie Steinmeyer, who scored three runs while going 1-for-5.
John Milledge Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 13 of their last 15 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-16 record this season. As for Brookwood, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
As of now, neither John Milledge Academy nor Brookwood have any future games scheduled.
