Softball Recap: Hamburg Wins Going Away Against West Seneca East

Hamburg won the last time they faced West Seneca East and things went their way on Monday too. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp 18-5 victory. Considering the Bulldogs' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Adrianna KorzKowski spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on 12 hits and racked up 11 Ks.

On the hitting side, Mackayla Musty was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, one triple, and two RBI. Maghan OLeary also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Hamburg always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .574. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Hamburg now has a winning record of 8-7. As for West Seneca East, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Coincidentally, Hamburg and West Seneca East will both be playing Williamsville East the next time they take the field. The Trojans will head out to face the Flames at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Bulldogs will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
