Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Juniata Valley). They put the hurt on the Curwensville Golden Tide with a sharp 85-64 win on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Hornets have posted since February 2nd.

When it comes to explaining why Curwensville lost, don't look at Davis Fleming. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 boards. That was a full 39.1% of Curwensville's points, marking the third time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Hunter Tkacik, who earned ten points.

The win got Juniata Valley back to even at 3-3. As for Curwensville, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Juniata Valley and Berlin Brothersvalley will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Curwensville, they will head out to face off against Claysburg-Kimmel at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
