Basketball Recap: South Holt Falls Short of North Andrew in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact South Holt can now relate to. They fell just short of the North Andrew Cardinals by a score of 58-55 on Friday. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cardinals apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

South Holt has also been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-23 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.9 points over those games. The victory made it two in a row for North Andrew and bumps their season record up to 16-14.

South Holt does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Andrew, they will face off against Rock Port at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Rock Port's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine games.
