Seymour won the last time they faced Harding, and Joey Carrafiello did his part to make sure it happened again. The Seymour Wildcats came out on top against the Harding Presidents by a score of 74-63 on Tuesday thanks in part to Carrafiello, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and 11 rebounds. Those 11 boards gave him a new career-high.
Several Presidents players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Shamir Smith, who posted 14 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Clifton Jones Jr., who put up 11 points.
Seymour now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Harding, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.
Seymour wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 64-61 win against Wilby on the 24th. As for Harding, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 77-62 loss against Fitch on the 24th.
