Volleyball Recap: Manchester Comes Up Short

Manchester was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against the Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Greyhounds of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-9, 25-19.

Hayden Rideout paced Manchester's offense, picking up six kills. Rideout got some help from Abby Lucas and her six assists.

Manchester's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Lynchburg-Clay, they pushed their record up to 7-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Manchester didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against South Point on the 17th. As for Lynchburg-Clay, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington on the 18th.
