Canyon View extended their winning streak to 17 on Friday, bumping their season record up to 20-3 in the process. Everything went their way against the North Sanpete Hawks as they made off with a 10-4 win. Considering the Falcons have won 12 contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Canyon View let Zach Maine and Jarron Bradshaw run wild. Maine went 1-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI, while Bradshaw went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Those three runs gave Maine a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Asher Slack, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Canyon View kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in 14 consecutive matchups.

As for North Sanpete, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season. They just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

On North Sanpete's side, they got a good showing from Christian Giacomazza, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Giacomazza has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, North Sanpete saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyson Guidos, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Canyon View is set to square off against their familiar foe Juab at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Falcons are on a seven-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), the Wasps a five-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind. Meanwhile, North Sanpete will take on rival Delta at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
