While St. Xavier's win against Elder wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bombers had just enough and edged out the Panthers 3-2 on Wednesday. Surprisingly, this marked the Bombers' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

St. Xavier's victory bumped their record up to 5-8-1. As for Elder, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Xavier will host Walnut Hills at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bombers are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Elder, they will welcome Cincinnati Trailblazers HomeSchool at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trailblazers have averaged an impressive 9.7 runs per game this season.
