Baseball Game Preview: Arrowhead Christian Eagles vs. Aquinas Falcons

For the second straight game, Arrowhead Christian will face off against Aquinas. The Eagles will head out to challenge the Falcons at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Arrowhead Christian 3.8, Aquinas 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Arrowhead Christian's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Tuesday's struggle, when Aquinas hitters got past them. The Eagles fell 11-6 to the Falcons on Tuesday. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

For Aquinas' part, the team relied heavily on Mason Greenhouse, who fired off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-5. Those two home runs gave Greenhouse a new career-high. Estaban Olazaba was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Aquinas is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-2 record this season. As for Arrowhead Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 13-10.
