Baseball Recap: King Takes a Loss

King was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They fell 6-3 to the Corpus Christi Moody Trojans. The Mustangs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Trojans earlier this season, when they won 5-3.

King saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Christian Saenz, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Grant Hoogland was another, going 1-for-4 with one triple and one run.

King's record is now 5-17-1. As for Corpus Christi Moody, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-11.

Coincidentally, King and Corpus Christi Moody will both be playing Carroll the next time they take the field. The Mustangs will head out to face the Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Trojans will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
