Volleyball Recap: Reavis' Losing Streak Snapped at Nine Games

Reavis can bid farewell to their nine-match losing streak thanks to their match on Monday. They came out on top against the Bloom Blazing Trojan by a score of 2-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Rams also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

While Reavis won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 28-26, 25-16.

Reavis got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Natalia Grela out in front who had ten digs and three aces. That's the most aces Grela has posted since back in September. Lorena Viloria also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Reavis' win bumped their record up to 10-18. As for Bloom, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-21.

Reavis wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Thornton Fractional South on the 21st. As for Bloom, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Rich Township on the 21st.
