If St. Monica was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of St. Genevieve last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mariners took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Harvard-Westlake Wolverines on Tuesday. The Mariners' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

St. Monica started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-21, 25-16, 25-15.

St. Monica's loss dropped their record down to 19-14-2. As for Harvard-Westlake, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

As of now, neither St. Monica nor Harvard-Westlake have any future games scheduled.
