Danville is 9-1 against Lincoln County since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Admirals will welcome the Patriots at 6:00 p.m. Danville is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season.

Danville managed to slip by Madison Southern the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Admirals lost 13-2 to the Eagles on Monday. The Admirals' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Lincoln County never let their opponents score on Monday. They put the hurt on Barbourville with a sharp 10-0 win. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Patriots' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Tucker Foster and Trevor Vest made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Foster tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Vest didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Foster is becoming a predictor of Lincoln County's success: when he allows at most one hit the team is 2-1 (and 8-12 when he doesn't). At bat, Foster went 2-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI, while Vest went 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. Those three runs gave Foster a new career-high.

In other batting news, Sawyer Robbins was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base, and two RBI. Lincoln County is 3-1 when Robbins posts three or more hits, but 7-12 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Smith, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Danville's defeat dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Lincoln County, their victory bumped their record up to 10-13.

Danville took their win against Lincoln County in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 16-5 score. Do the Admirals have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Patriots turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
