Softball Recap: Burnsville Takes a Loss

Burnsville came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Prior Lake Lakers, falling 9-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blaze of the 15-5 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Burnsville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Payton Medeiros, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Burnsville's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Prior Lake, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-5.

Looking ahead, Burnsville will head out on the road to challenge Lakeville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Prior Lake, they will face off against Eagan at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
