Soccer Game Preview: Paris vs. Pittsburg

Paris is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Tuesday. They will head out to face off against the Pittsburg Pirates at 6:30 p.m. Pittsburg took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Paris, who comes in off a win.

Paris is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They blew past Caddo Mills 6-0 on Tuesday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Paris considering their one-goal performance the match before.

Meanwhile, Pittsburg fell victim to Palestine and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Wildcats, falling 3-0. Pittsburg have struggled against Palestine recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

The win made it two in a row for Paris and bumps their season record up to 3-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two contests. As for Pittsburg, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 7-1-1.

Paris couldn't quite get it done against Pittsburg in their previous meeting back in February of 2025 as they fell 2-0. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
