Volleyball Recap: Eagle Valley Takes a Loss

Eagle Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Golden Demons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Devils of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2021.

Riley Weatherred paced Eagle Valley's offense, picking up 15 kills. Weatherred got some help from Ansley Hopper and her 14 assists. Kaitlyn Garvey controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Eagle Valley's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Golden, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-7.

Eagle Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Fountain-Fort Carson on the 24th. As for Golden, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Heritage on the 25th.
