Recap: Stillwater Warriors vs. Haldane Blue Devils
With a playoff game on the line, the Stillwater Warriors rose to the challenge on Friday. They came out on top against the Blue Devils by a score of 21-14. Winning may never get old, but Stillwater sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Jaxon Mueller was his usual excellent self, rushing for 130 yards and three touchdowns.
Despite the loss, Haldane still got an impressive performance from Evan Giachinta, who rushed for 103 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries, and also picked up 33 receiving yards. Giachinta is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ryan Van Tassel, who rushed for 58 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.
Stillwater's victory bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Haldane, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-3.
Stillwater will take on Tioga at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Tioga has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 646 points over their last 11 matchups. Haldane does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
