Football Recap: Whittier Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Whittier's offense. They had to suffer through a 41-0 loss at the hands of the Wilson Wildcats. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hailey Tran had another great game (as she tends to do), rushing for 105 yards and a pair of TDs on only six carries for Wilson. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 60 yards. Delia Kiriyama-Lee got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Whittier's defeat dropped their record down to 1-2. As for Wilson, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Whittier will take on rival Bellflower at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Wilson is set to square off against their familiar foe Monrovia at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
