Soccer Game Preview: Miami Country Day vs. Pine Crest

The Miami Country Day Spartans will take on the Pine Crest Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Miami Country Day is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.7 goals per game this season.

Miami Country Day is headed into Thursday's following a draw, the team's first since December 16. They and Palmer Trinity finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw on Monday.

Miami Country Day's goal came courtesy of Brad Flick, who's now up to 11 this season.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Pine Crest's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They played to a draw too, finishing 3-3 against Coral Glades. The result kept the Panthers happy, as they haven't lost a game since December 10, 2024.

Pine Crest's draw gives them a new season record of 11-5-1. As for Miami Country Day, they moved theirs to 6-6-2.

Miami Country Day might still be hurting after the 5-1 defeat they got from Pine Crest in their previous meeting back in November of 2022. Can Miami Country Day avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
