Baseball Recap: St. Marys Triumphs

While St. Marys's win against Paden City wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Blue Devils narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Wildcats 7-5. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Kyle Bullman was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing five bases while going 2-for-2. He has become a key player for St. Marys: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 0-4 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Ayden Powell, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-2.

St. Marys' win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Paden City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Coming up, St. Marys will face off against South Harrison at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Paden City, they will head out to face off against Bridgeport at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
