Calvary Christian Academy dropped down to 7-2 on Friday, ending the team's five-game streak of wins. They were dealt  a  38-7 defeat at the hands of the Archbishop McCarthy Mavericks. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  31-0.
 Jackson Stroud threw for 97 yards and one  TD on only five passes.   Cole Diehl was his top target, picking up 61 receiving yards.
As for Archbishop McCarthy, their victory was  their fifth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 7-2. Those  road  wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 39.6 points over those games.
