Softball Recap: Gibbs Gets the Win

Gibbs won the last time they faced Morristown-Hamblen West and things went their way on Monday too. The Eagles walked away with a 3-0 victory over the Trojans. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Gibbs let Malyiah Smith and Brianna Baker run wild. Smith went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs, while Baker went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and one RBI. Smith has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times she's played.

Gibbs' record now sits at 25-3. As for Morristown-Hamblen West, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-7 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gibbs will square off against Scott at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Morristown-Hamblen West, they will take on Daniel Boone at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
