Basketball Recap: Shaker Comes Up Short

Shaker has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 55-50 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bethlehem Central Eagles. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Bison came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked tenth, while the Eagles are ranked 51st).

Shaker's defeat dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Bethlehem Central, they moved to 12-4 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Shaker is set to square off against their familiar foe Colonie Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Bethlehem Central will face off against rival Shenendehowa at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
