Basketball Recap: Bradley Lewis Key Part of a Team Effort in Royals Win

On Tuesday, the Mercy Prep Academy Royals earned a 60-48 win over the Waco Christian Warriors. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Royals.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mercy Prep Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bradley Lewis, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds. Dylan Baker was another key player, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 13 boards.

Mercy Prep Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Waco Christian only posted six assists.

When it comes to explaining why Waco Christian lost, don't look at Daylin Harvey. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten rebounds. That was a full 54.2% of Waco Christian's points, marking the third time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Grey, who had 12 points and seven boards.

Mercy Prep Academy is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.6 points per game. As for Waco Christian, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-7.

Mercy Prep Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 65-50 loss against Grayson Christian on the 31st. As for Waco Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 63-35 victory against Varsity Opponent on the 31st.
