Fisher Catholic has gone 6-1 against Wellington School recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Irish will venture away from home to face off against the Jaguars at 5:15 p.m. Fisher Catholic will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, Fisher Catholic earned a 15-10 win over Grove City Christian.

Fisher Catholic let Mallory Stanton and Vanessa Funk run wild. Stanton scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5, while Funk scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Brue, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-5.

Fisher Catholic was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .447. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .304 or higher in five consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Wellington School, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They skirted past Harvest Prep 16-15. The high-scoring effort was just what the Jaguars needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Fisher Catholic now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Wellington School, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Fisher Catholic took their win against Wellington School when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 14-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Irish since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
