Basketball Game Preview: East Moline United Panthers vs. DeKalb Barbs

The East Moline United Panthers will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against the DeKalb Barbs at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday. East Moline United will come in still looking for their first win of the season.

Last Thursday, East Moline United took a blow against Quincy, falling 53-22. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 530th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 95th).

DeKalb has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 46-42 heartbreaker at the hands of Naperville Central.

DeKalb's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for East Moline United, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10.
