Basketball Recap: Sandwich Find Success

Sandwich had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came within a single point of losing the streak, but they secured a 47-46 W against the Woodstock Blue Streaks. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 52-50 back in January.

Sandwich's win bumped their record up to 17-11. As for Woodstock, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 17-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sandwich won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Newark at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Newark is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.7 points per game this season. As for Woodstock, they will challenge Johnsburg at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
