Basketball Recap: Fillmore Central Comes Up Short

Fillmore Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Rushford-Peterson Trojans, falling 70-50. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 93-35 back in December of 2025.

Fillmore Central's loss dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Rushford-Peterson, their victory was their tenth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-2.

Looking ahead, Fillmore Central will venture away from home to face off against La Crescent at 1:15 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons will need to watch out since the Lancers have now posted at least 55 points in their last 16 games. As for Rushford-Peterson, they will host Rochester Math and Science Academy at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
