Soccer Game Preview: East Central vs. George County

The East Central Hornets are taking a road trip to face off against the George County Rebels at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

East Central's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They came out on top against Picayune by a score of 2-0. Bentley Bullock had to tread lightly for part of the match after he was hit with a yellow card, but that was the only trouble East Central got from the refs.

Aiden Parent and Kolby Wolfert scored both of East Central's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Meanwhile, George County waltzed into their match on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Panthers 5-0. That five goal margin sets a new team best for George County this season.

East Central now has a winning record of 3-2-1. As for George County, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

East Central came up short against George County when the teams last played back in November of 2024, falling 2-0. Can the Hornets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
