Soccer Recap: Sumter Comes Up Short

Sumter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 4-0 to the Spring Valley Vikings. If the Gamecocks were looking for revenge after losing 5-0 to the Vikings when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Sumter's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Spring Valley, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Coming up, Sumter will be playing at home against Camden at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Spring Valley, they will head out to face off against Gilbert at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Spring Valley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.6 goals per game this season.
