Basketball Game Preview: Flomaton Hurricanes vs. Escambia County Blue Devils

Flomaton is 0-10 against Escambia County since December of 2021 but things could change on Monday. The Flomaton Hurricanes are taking a road trip to take on the Escambia County Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Flomaton is headed into Monday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Thursday. They came up short against T.R. Miller, falling 62-40.

Meanwhile, Escambia County suffered their closest defeat since February 21, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of Jackson by a score of 62-60. The Blue Devils haven't had much luck with the Aggies recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Flomaton will have to contain Cleo Bolar as he made an impact in Escambia County's last game. He posted 22 points along with eight boards and eight steals. Bolar's evening made it 13 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaniguel Taylor, who went 5 of 7 en route to 12 points.

Flomaton's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Escambia County, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-6.

Flomaton was taken down by Escambia County 81-53 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Bolar, who went 9 of 16 on his way to 23 points along with six steals and five assists.
