Soccer Recap: Monsignor Pace Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Monsignor Pace can now relate to. They came up short against the Cardinal Gibbons Chiefs on Tuesday, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 333rd, while the Chiefs are ranked 27th).

Monsignor Pace dropped their record down to 4-10 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Cardinal Gibbons, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Monsignor Pace does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cardinal Gibbons, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next match, a 3-2 victory against Coral Springs Charter on the 14th.
