The Grove School is 0-10 against Bethel Christian since February of 2020 but things could change on Wednesday. The Grove School Ravens just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Bethel Christian Kings at 7:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
The Grove School is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Calvary Baptist on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Grove School had to suffer through a 72-37 loss at the hands of Calvary Baptist. The Ravens were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-13.

The Grove School's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Travis Silvers, who posted 22 points and five boards, and Jackson Clemens, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds. Silvers has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Bethel Christian's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They lost 64-44 to Mesa Grande Academy.
Despite the defeat, Bethel Christian saw an underclassman step up: freshman Alakai Farley dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. That's the most boards Farley has posted since back in December of 2024. Joseph Kyababchian was another key player, going 6 for 15 en route to 14 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Even though they lost, Bethel Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in four consecutive games.
This is the second loss in a row for The Grove School and nudges their season record down to 2-10. As for Bethel Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 13-7.
Wednesday's contest will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Clemens and Kyababchian. Clemens has been dynamite this season: he has averaged 16.4 points, 1.9 steals, and 8.8 boards. For his part, Kyababchian has averaged 16.9 points, 3.9 steals, and 4.4 assists.
The Grove School was dealt a bruising 63-33 defeat at the hands of Bethel Christian in their previous meeting back in January. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point The Grove School was down 43-21.
