Basketball Game Preview: Atascocita Eagles vs. Summer Creek Bulldogs

The Atascocita Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Summer Creek Bulldogs at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Atascocita will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Last Wednesday, Atascocita earned a 52-40 victory over King.

Meanwhile, Summer Creek entered their tilt with Channelview on Wednesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They strolled past the Falcons with points to spare, taking the game 72-56. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 53rd, while the Falcons are ranked 1065th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Atascocita is also on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.0 points per game. As for Summer Creek, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-9.

Atascocita was able to grind out a solid victory over Summer Creek in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, winning 68-56. The rematch might be a little tougher for Atascocita since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
