Basketball Recap: South Central Find Success

South Central proved they can win big on Monday (they won by 27) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 42-40 victory over the South Spencer Rebels. For South Central, this counts as revenge for the 59-21 win South Spencer walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.

Despite the loss, South Spencer saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Alexis Harris went 5 for 9 on her way to 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylea Donoho, who posted no points and 12 rebounds.

South Central's victory bumped their record up to 7-10. As for South Spencer, they moved to 7-7 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

South Central will take on Paoli at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. South Spencer has already played their next game (against Southridge), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
