Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lutheran South Academy). They never let the Cypress Christian Warriors onto the board and left with an 8-0 victory on Thursday. Brody Smith was a massive factor in the win as he booted in four goals all by himself.

The win (which was Lutheran South Academy's fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-10-2. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four games. As for Cypress Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Lutheran South Academy will look to defend their home pitch on Monday against Emery/Weiner at 6:30 p.m. Cypress Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
