Basketball Recap: Altha Finds Home Court Redemption Against Liberty County

There's no place like home for Altha, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They skirted past the Liberty County Bulldogs 26-24. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Bulldogs back in December of 2024, they had to take a 39-33 defeat.

Liberty County's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Kaylee Sexton, who posted eight points, and Emmie Peddie, who had eight points.

Altha is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-9 record this season. As for Liberty County, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.

Altha will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Malone at 4:30 p.m. on January 29th. Altha is facing Malone at the right time seeing as Malone is stuck on a four-game losing streak. Liberty County has already played their next matchup, a 41-6 loss against Franklin County on the 27th.
