Baseball Recap: Switzerland County Victorious

Switzerland County came out on top against Milan on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run seventh inning. The Pacers took their match against the Indians 5-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 7-1 back in April.

Zayne Smith spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up 12 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jackson Sparks, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Roman Hite, who went 1-for-3 with two runs.

Switzerland County's record now sits at 10-7. As for Milan, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.
