Softball Recap: Oak Ridge Takes a Loss

Oak Ridge lost to West back in March and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Rebels by a score of 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Wildcats have suffered against the Rebels since April 18, 2023.

Bay Hensley was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Kylee Primm was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Oak Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 10-16-1. As for West, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-11 record this season.

Oak Ridge will be playing in front of their home fans against McMinn County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West, they will venture away from home to face off against Maryville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
