Football Preview: Lowndes Vikings vs. Buford Wolves        
        
		
             Lowndes has enjoyed the comforts of home their last four games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Buford Wolves at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication,  both  will really light up the scoreboard.
 Lowndes is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup  on Friday. They took down North Paulding 35-17. Given the Vikings' advantage  in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings  (they are ranked eighth, while the Wolfpack are ranked 84th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 It was another big night for  Marvis Parrish, who rushed for 93 yards and three touchdowns, and also picked up 55 receiving yards. He has been hot recently, having  posted two or more  rushing touchdowns the last four times he's  played.  Jaylin Carter did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 83  receiving yards.
 Lowndes was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 230  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 171  rushing yards in four consecutive  matchups.
 Meanwhile,  winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better  (just ask Buford). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat East Coweta 57-9. Considering the Wolves have won eight matches by more than 24  points this season, Friday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Buford can attribute much of their success to   Justin Baker, who rushed for 98 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries, and   Dayton Raiola, who threw for 227 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 passes. The team also got some help courtesy of  Tyriq Green, who gained 82 total yards and a touchdown.
 Lowndes' victory was  their ninth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 10-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 38.7 points per game. As for Buford, the  win was  the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-1.
 Friday's   game might be decided in the on the ground. Lowndes has been unstoppable on the ground this season,  having  averaged 222.7  rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Buford struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 231. It's looking like  Friday's  contest might have some serious battles in the trenches.
