After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cadillac, Grayling was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 15-13 win over the Onaway Cardinals. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Vikings considering their one-run performance the game before.

Grayling is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. As for Onaway, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Grayling will take on Boyne City at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The contest will give the Vikings their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Onaway, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 17-1 victory against Johannesburg-Lewiston on the 22nd.
