Twin Falls is 9-1 against Minico since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Bruins will look to defend their home field against the Spartans at 2:30 p.m. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Twin Falls sitting on eight straight wins and Minico on three.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between Twin Falls and Wood River, and Twin Falls kept the tradition alive. The Bruins blew past the Wolverines 11-2 on Thursday. Considering the Bruins have won 11 contests by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Jordan Bingham spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Cooper Thompson was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Maddox Stadelmeir, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Minico walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Wolverines with a sharp 11-1 victory on Thursday.
Noah Rich was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He is becoming a predictor of Minico's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 5-1 (and 6-11 when he doesn't). Rich was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, Carlos Dominguez and Jayden Dominguez did most of the damage at the plate: Carlos went 2-for-3 with five RBI, one stolen base, and one run, while Jayden got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Jalyx Guzman was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one double.
Twin Falls' win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-6. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Minico, their win bumped their record up to 11-12.
Twin Falls took their victory against Minico in their previous meeting last Thursday by a conclusive 13-2 score. Will the Bruins repeat their success, or do the Spartans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
