Softball Recap: Durango Comes Up Short

Durango started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Rancho. They came up short against the Rams on Monday, falling 14-4. The Trailblazers have struggled against the Rams recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Durango saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Leiah Biscocho, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Durango's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Rancho, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Durango will face off against rival Cimarron-Memorial at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Rancho is set to challenge their familiar foe Legacy at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Rams have won three straight at home, while the Longhorns won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
