La Center waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with 13 straight wins... but they left with 14. They were the clear victors by a 21-1 margin over the Fort Vancouver Trappers. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Houston Coyle made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in five of his six plate appearances with two stolen bases, five RBI, and three runs. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played.

In other batting news, Justin Fuller was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Will Anderson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

La Center pushed their record up to 17-3 with the win, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Fort Vancouver, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: La Center beat the Trappers by a score of 10-0 later that day.
