Basketball Recap: Skyridge Takes Down Ranked Kellis

Skyridge is ranked highly in their home state and on Thursday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Kellis. The Skyridge Falcons snuck past the Kellis Cougars with a 51-47 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.

Skyridge got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lillian Meyer out in front who posted 12 points in addition to five assists and five boards. That's the most assists Meyer has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Ellah Oeser, who put up eight points in addition to ten boards and three blocks.

Skyridge's record now sits at 6-4. As for Kellis, they moved to 9-1 with that loss, which also ended their nine-game winning streak.

Skyridge won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Mesquite at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Skyridge is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.2 points per game this season. As for Kellis, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Copper Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025. Kellis is facing Copper Canyon at the right time seeing as Copper Canyon is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
